A network of researchers from 52 countries, we are engaged in the timely mission of unveiling women migrants’ presence and participation in the construction of Europe. Our transdisciplinary outlook combines a wide variety of expertise in history, sociology, demography, economy, anthropology, political science and the arts, among many other fields. This will foster complementary perspectives to show women migrants’ presence, obstacles and capacities in past and present migratory contexts.
Women on the Move (CA19112) is a science and technology network funded over a four-year period and developing networking tools to meet the research coordination and capacity building objectives set out in the COST Action’s Memorandum of Understanding. Its Grant Holder is Université de Picardie Jules Verne, and it was previously hosted by Université Paris Cité.
Marie Ruiz is the founder and chair of Women on the Move.

Historians of Cultural Diplomacy
HCD is an international research network that aims to provide scholars interested in the history of cultural diplomacy with a forum to build research collaborations. It emerged as an endeavour by a group of scholars attending a workshop at Liverpool John Moores University in February 2025. Members are at different stages of their academic careers. They hold meetings periodically to discuss cultural interactions between countries from Europe, Asia, Latin America... We also publicise research works on the cultural dimension of international relations in the 19th and 20th centuries. A major purpose of the network is to open new paths for exploring international history.
Mélanie Torrent is a founding member of HCD.

The network aims to comparatively research and discuss anti-gender politics in Eastern Europe and neighbouring countries through its academic events and to disseminate these findings, because a systematic uncovering of how the rise of anti-gender and anti-feminist mobilizations is linked to the decline of democratic norms and structures has yet to be done. A total of four working groups will be established, including colleagues from EE and NME countries, as well as early-career researchers, innovators, and NGOs.
Marie Ruiz is on the network's management committee.

The action brings together an inter-disciplinary group of researchers to explore the shifting dynamics between the University, the nation-state and the European integration project. Through knowledge-exchange and collaboration, the network will converge diverse pan-European and interdisciplinary perspectives on the neonationalism-higher education relationship and accompanying geopolitical pressures. The network will strengthen and showcase European scholarship, and liaise with stakeholders in the domain of higher education and research to generate ideas for addressing and alleviating the growing threats to the University’s openness and global cooperation capabilities. In doing so, the network will develop sustainable and transferable analytical and conceptual frameworks for future studies and collaborations, including mentorship programs for early career scholars.
